Bungee Leash

Non-stop dogwear Bungee Leash is a fully elastic pulling leash developed for activities where the dog works in front of you. The leash was originally developed for professional competition use but is equally suited for those training canicross, bikejoring, skiing, or hiking with a dog.

The elastic construction absorbs jerks and shocks instead of them being transferred directly between dog and handler. This provides a softer and more even load on both your and the dog's back when you move together.

Choose length according to activity
Bungee Leash is available in two lengths and here there is an important difference depending on how you will use the leash.
2.0 meters – for running and hiking
The shorter model gives better control over the dog and is recommended by Non-stop dogwear for canicross and hiking.
2.8 meters – for cycling and skiing
In bikejoring and skijoring, the dog needs to work at a greater distance from the bike or skis. Therefore, Non-stop dogwear recommends the longer 2.8-meter variant for these activities.
This makes the Bungee Leash a versatile pulling leash where you can choose the length according to the sport you actually train.

Cushions jerks when the dog pulls
Unlike a normal static leash, the Bungee Leash is elastic along the entire construction. When the dog accelerates or the load changes, the leash can therefore absorb part of the force instead of creating a hard jerk.
It is particularly relevant in mushing and pulling sports where the dog works actively in the harness and the leash is continuously loaded.

Constructed for pulling sports
The core consists of high-quality rubber which, according to Non-stop dogwear, is constructed to handle even very strong dogs. The elastic core is protected by a durable outer layer of polyester.
This is not a regular walking leash with a small elastic section. Bungee Leash is developed specifically for pulling and high activity.

Self-locking Twistlock carabiner
Towards the dog's harness sits Non-stop's Twistlock carabiner. The carabiner locks automatically and is designed to reduce the risk of the leash accidentally detaching during activity.
Non-stop dogwear specifies a load capacity of 300 kg for the carabiner.

Which length should I choose?

Running / canicross → 2.0 m
Provides a shorter distance and better control over the dog.

Hiking → 2.0 m
Non-stop also recommends the shorter model for hiking.

Cycling / bikejoring → 2.8 m
Provides a greater distance between the dog and the bike.

Skiing / skijoring → 2.8 m
The longer leash provides the safety distance needed from the equipment.

Care Instructions
Non-stop dogwear specifies hand wash only for Bungee Leash.
Rinse or wash off dirt as needed and let the leash air dry completely before storing. Regularly check the leash, elastic part, and carabiner for signs of damage or heavy wear, especially if the leash is used regularly for pulling.
