Roboard

Løype Roboard is a light, stable, and stackable plastic sign holder for rally obedience and Rally Dogdance. It is developed for both indoor and outdoor use and keeps the A4 sign securely in place during training and competition.

Unlike the traditional aluminum sign holders long used in rally obedience, Roboard is made of plastic. This provides a lighter and more forgiving sign holder – two characteristics that become particularly relevant when many stations need to be built and both dog and handler move close to the signs.

A lighter alternative to aluminum

An individual sign holder may not feel particularly heavy, but a rally course consists of many stations. When the stands need to be carried from the car, placed out, moved between courses, and finally packed away again, the weight becomes significantly more relevant.

Roboard's plastic construction provides a lighter alternative to traditional metal stands, making handling smoother for both the individual dog trainer and for clubs that regularly build complete rally courses.

The stands are also designed to be stacked inside each other, making a larger set significantly easier to carry, transport, and store.

More forgiving if the dog gets too close

In rally obedience, both dog and handler work close to the signs. A misstep, a wide turn, or an eager dog can mean contact with a sign holder.

Here, plastic has another advantage. Compared to hard and angular metal constructions, plastic is a more forgiving material upon contact, which can reduce the risk of injury if the dog or handler happens to run into or step on the stand.

This does not mean a sign holder is risk-free, but the choice of material is a relevant safety advantage in a dog sport where equipment is placed right in the team's working area.

Developed for rally obedience

Roboard is developed specifically as a sign holder for rally obedience. The stand is adapted for signs in A4 format and Løype states that the construction meets the requirements for rally obedience trials.

This makes Roboard just as relevant for home training and club training as when a more complete rally course is to be built.

The sign stays securely in place

On the sides of the stand are grooves into which the A4 sign is slid. The construction makes it quick to insert and change signs while keeping them in place during use.

So you avoid separate clips or other fasteners every time the course is rebuilt.

For both indoor and outdoor training

Since Roboard stands on the ground instead of being anchored with ground spikes, it can be used on many different types of training surfaces.

It works, for example, in dog halls and on other hard surfaces where ground spikes cannot be used, but is simultaneously constructed for outdoor training and to withstand rain and wind.

It means the same set of sign holders can come along regardless of where today's rally course is built.

Stackable – when the whole course needs to go along

If you only have one sign holder, storage might matter less. If, however, you have enough to build an entire rally course, the construction becomes all the more important.

The Roboard stands are stackable, so multiple stands can be gathered into a compact stack. It takes up less space in the car and storage and makes them easier to carry onto the field.

For clubs, instructors, and active rally obedience teams, it is one of the product's major practical advantages.

Care instructions

The plastic construction makes Roboard easy to keep clean. Wipe the stand with a damp cloth or rinse away dirt after outdoor training and let it dry before long-term storage.

Regularly check that the plastic and side grooves are intact so that the signs sit securely in place.

The stands can be stacked during both transport and storage to take up less space.
