Description
Løype Nosework Container is a practical scent container for nosework, designed to make scent training simple and controlled from the very beginning. The smart construction keeps the scent sample protected so that the dog can investigate the container without coming into direct contact with the sample itself.
The container can be used independently or together with the Løype Nosework Stand, where several containers are placed side by side for structured training of searching, scent discrimination, and indication.
Protects the scent sample from direct contact
For beginners, one of the major advantages is the construction inside the container. Løype has equipped it with an insert that prevents direct contact with the scent sample.
The dog thus works with the scent coming from the container instead of being able to reach the sample itself. It provides a more controlled setup when the dog is beginning to understand what the nosework task involves.
Start with three containers
Løype recommends that you start nosework training with three containers, where only one contains the scent sample. In this way, the dog has the opportunity to start distinguishing the current scent from empty containers without the task becoming unnecessarily complicated.
When the dog understands the task, you can gradually develop the training with more containers and more advanced search setups.
Matte surface reduces visual cues
The container has a matte surface, which means it should not be visually obvious to the dog which container contains the scent sample.
It helps you create a training setup where the dog actually needs to use its nose to solve the task.
Space for common scent samples
The container measures 6 cm in height and 5.5 cm in width. Løype states that it can, for example, hold a cinnamon stick or a piece of orange peel.
Fits directly into Løype Nosework Stand
The container is adapted for Løype Nosework Stand. The stand has six fixed positions where the containers can be placed to train the dog to systematically search through several scent sources.
The combination is particularly useful when you want to work further on scent discrimination and a precise indication without loose containers being moved around when the dog searches.
