BASIC target with spring

The Wooddog BASIC Target with Spring is a training tool developed for target training where the dog receives clear physical feedback when it places its paws correctly. When the dog steps onto the platform, it springs downwards, making it easier for the dog to understand when it has performed the correct behavior.

The direct feedback makes the product particularly appreciated in clicker training and shaping, where clear timing is an important part of learning.

It can be used as a mechanical target for basic training of running contacts, where the dog receives clear physical feedback when its front paws hit the target. The product does not replace an electronic running contact system but is an excellent tool for building a secure and consistent paw placement.

Facilitates learning

The spring-loaded construction helps the dog to more quickly associate correct paw placement with reward. The product is suitable for, among other things:

Target training
Clicker training
Shaping
Body control
Canine fitness
Precision training
Stable and non-slip

The top is covered with a durable rubber mat that provides good grip for the paws. The underside is designed to reduce the risk of the target sliding during training.

Built for regular use

The target is made of water-resistant plywood and designed to withstand repeated training sessions. The construction is stable while the spring mechanism provides the characteristic movement when the dog loads the platform.
